The 53rd ISCIE International Symposium on Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications (SSS'21) will be held on October 30-31, 2021, at Ritsumeikan University, Kusatsu, Shiga, JAPAN. The technical program will cover the general topic of stochastic systems, including the following subjects:

Papers Submission:

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts, which must be written in English and be received by July 1, 2021 (extended to July 15, 2021) at the submission site. Extended abstracts should not exceed two A4 pages with 25mm margins on all sides, in one column format, and with 10-point fonts or larger. Please include the title, author names, affiliations, and addresses on the top of the first page of the extended abstract. The authors should prepare extended abstracts in PDF format and submit them via the SSS Web site.

Authors will be notified of acceptance of the extended abstract by July 30, 2021. The authors of accepted papers are requested to submit the manuscripts for the proceedings following the instructions available on the SSS Web site. The manuscripts should be prepared in PDF format and submitted electronically on the Web by October 15, 2021. The maximum allowable length of each manuscript, including both text and illustrations, is ten pages (about 7500 words). All manuscripts will be reviewed, and only accepted ones will be included in the proceedings.

Policy on Copyright of SSS Proceedings:

Beginning with the SSS'14, the SSS Proceedings are now available at the online electronic journal site JStage (Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator, Electronic). With the author's agreement, the papers in the Proceedings will be registered to the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) system and opened to the public on the web. According to this system, papers in the Proceedings will be officially published works with the copyright, and we need Copyright Transfer from all of the authors who submit their papers. Also, each paper should be the original work of the author(s) and not yet published in any media with the copyright.

Award:

The young researchers who recognized excellent presentation at this symposium will be presented to the SSS Young Author Prize or the ISCIE award. For the SSS Young Author Prize, the presenter must be less than 35 years of age at the time of symposium. For the ISCIE award, the presenter must be a member of ISCIE and must be less than 30 years of age if the affiliation of the presenter is an academic or less than 35 years of age if the affiliation of the presenter is not an academic, at the time of symposium.

Proposals for organized sessions are welcome and should be submitted to the secretary of SSS'21 by July 1, 2021.(Proposal Submission Form)

Special Issue of the Transactions of the ISCIE:

SSS'21 special issue of the transaction of the ISCIE is planed next year. Further information will be notified to authors who present their papers at SSS'21.
