We are happy to announce that International Journal of Innovative Computing,
Information and Control (IJICIC) will publish a special issue
"Recent Advances in Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications" after SSS'10.
Please note that the full papers for the proceedings of this symposium
will NOT be automatically submitted to this journal.
Call for Papers for Special Issue of
International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control
Recent Advances in Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications
Stochastic systems theory has been widely recognized to constitute an important area
in information and control fields,
and its application areas are wide spread from engineering to mathematical science,
cybernetics, economics, biology, etc.
This obviously is due to the fact that randomness or uncertainties are accompanied
with almost all `complex systems',
whether or not it is physical, and the consideration in the context of stochastic
systems is inevitable.
Thus, there have been a great deal of research activities in this field among
applied mathematicians and engineers,
as exemplified by the fact that the annual International Symposium on Stochastic
Systems Theory and Its Applications (SSS) sponsored by the Institute of Systems,
Control and Information Engineers is now the 42nd in the year 2010.
Moreover, there is no doubt that this area will continue to grow in both theories
and applications.
This special issue will be dedicated to the publication of a variety of original
papers on recent development on the theory of stochastic systems theory
as well as its applications which will be presented at the 42nd SSS (or SSS'10),
Okayama University of Science, Okayama, Japan, November 26-27, 2010.
Papers are invited on general topics in this field, including analysis of
stochastic processes and stochastic systems,
state estimation and control of stochastic systems,
system identification and parameter estimation,
signal processing and spectral estimation,
image processing and pattern recognition,
applications in engineering, chaos and fractal, neural networks and fuzzy systems,
stochastic approaches in medical and biomedical systems, and mathematical finance.
