The 43rd ISCIE International Symposium on Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications Special Issue of ISCIEWe are happy to announce that the Transactions of the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers (ISCIE), the sponsoring institute of SSS, will publish a special issue "Recent Progress in Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications" after SSS'11. This will be our first time publishing a special issue in the Transactions of ISCIE. Call for Papers for the Special Issues of Transactions of the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers ---Recent Progress in Stochastic Systems Theory and Its Applications--- Stochastic systems theory has been widely recognized to constitute an important area in systems, control and information fields, with application areas that widely spread from engineering to science. ISCIE has been contributing to this academic field by sponsoring the annual symposium, SSS, continuously since 1968. SSS is now recognized as the traditional symposium with the oldest and longest academic history within ISCIE. We are happy to publish the special issue in the Transactions of ISCIE from the papers in the Proceedings of SSS'11, and the authors of SSS'11 proceedings papers are invited to submit full version of their papers. Please note that the papers for the Proceedings of SSS'11 will NOT be automatically submitted to the Transactions of ISCIE. Moreover, the papers published in the special issue of the Transactions of ISCIE should contain some new or extended results, or revised contents from the papers in the Proceedings of SSS'11. Non-members of ISCIE can also submit their papers to this special issue. Manuscript FormatThe manuscript should be written in English and prepared according to the author's guidelines for the transactions of ISCIE. The standard number of pages is 8. It is recommended to use LaTeX style files. The author's guidelines and the LaTeX style files, in Japanese, can be downloaded from the ISCIE web site. For authors who can not read Japanese, summarized instructions in English are also available below.
Non-LaTeX formatted manuscripts are also acceptable. In this case, publication may be delayed and an extra cost will be incurred. Since no templates for any other word processing software are provided, authors who wish to use word processing software such as MS-Word should follow the author's guidelines and formatted sample of LaTeX (Japanese, English), and prepare their manuscripts as they include all required contents including abstract, authors' names and affiliations, keywords etc. SubmissionThe original manuscript should be prepared as a PDF file. Its filesize should be less than 5MB. The PDF file should be emailed to the guest editor together with the Submission Form for the special issue of SSS [PDF, DOC] as well as the Confirmation Form [PDF, DOC] signed by the authors. The Confirmation Form may also be sent to the guest editor by fax. Submission Deadline:
